What happens when a plan ends

What printed codes do after a failed payment, a cancellation or a refund, and how to turn them back on.

A failed payment

Your codes keep working while we try the card again, for about 2 weeks. We email you after each failed try with the date of the next one. A new card on your Billing page pays straight away. If every try fails, the plan ends and codes stop.

A cancelled plan

Codes keep working until the end of the period you paid for. We email you 7 days before they stop, unless you cancel later than that, and nothing more is charged.

A refunded payment

Payments aren't refunded. If one ever is, codes keep working for 7 days afterwards, and we email you the date they stop, in case you've already printed.

What scanners see

A neutral page: “This QR code isn't active. Is this your code? Sign in to turn it back on.” There are no ads, no offers and no link onward, and a printed code never leads to someone else's page.

We email you the day codes stop, and once more 30 days later. Wi-Fi and text codes hold their details themselves, so they keep working.

Turning codes back on

Choose Reactivate in Your codes and pay at checkout. The same printed codes work again within seconds.

A code designed after your plan ended is saved only when you choose the monthly or yearly plan.

How long we keep them

We keep your codes' designs, addresses and settings for 12 months after they stop, then delete them. Each short link stays reserved for good: it's never given to anyone else, and it keeps showing the “isn't active” page.
